Before The "Movin" and Jammin' Hits Formats swept the country, Jim Prewitt was one of the first in the nation to program and jock the Rhythmic format.

Catfish Jim Prewitt was PD/Morning Host at WKXX and led the station from 11th place to FIRST and maintained top 3 rankings during his entire tenure. Catfish was nominated for Program Director of the year in 1987 while at WKXX.
